STEPHEN L. HARRIS, a former newspaper and television news editor, is the author of five books, including 100 Golden Olympians, sponsored by the U.S Olympic Committee for the 100th anniversary of the Modern Olympic Games. He was senior writer on the CD-ROM history of the Olympics, Olympic Gold, produced by S.E.A. Multimedia of Tel Aviv. It won the 1996 Gold Milia d’Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival as “Best Reference Title in the World.” From 1979 to 1992 he was editor of General Electric’s magazine, Monogram, with a worldwide circulation of 330,000. Steve’s last book, Duffy’s War, was selected by the World War I Historical Association as one of the best books written about America’s participation in World War I. His latest book, Rock of the Marne, will be published in October. He is the former editor of the Journal of Olympic History.
